Step into our two person red cedar steam sauna for a private sitting or couples session and relax while your body detoxifies, your spirit rejuvenates and your mind regenerates. The interior of our sauna is fully lit. Multi-level seating allows you to remain lower in the sauna for less heated temperatures or choose higher seating for hotter temperatures. The wide, long bench provides plenty of space for sitting or laying down. Even those affected by claustrophobia will enjoy the full glass door allowing a view to the outside of the sauna.

Wet Sauna or Dry Sauna?

A wet sauna and a dry sauna are one and the same. When you enter the hot sauna, and before any water is sprinkled on the rocks it is considered a dry sauna due to the dry heat and absence of humidity in the hot environment.

The minute you generate steam by sprinkling water onto the rocks, it is considered a wet sauna due to the humidity that quickly engulfs the room. Essentially it is a sauna room, and the wet or dry terminology relates to the level of humidity in the room. Our sauna is steamed by a bucket/ladle/thermometer/hydrometer, leaving you with the choice of adding water for a wet sauna experience.

Sauna Health Benefits
Note: Only your doctor can recommend specific sauna benefits for you. Be sure you are well hydrated before and after sauna use. Do not use a sauna if you are pregnant or have a heart condition. Revitalife Spa makes no claims as to the specific benefits of sauna use for individual users. While only your doctor can determine the physical benefits of sauna use for you, the following are some of the health benefits that sauna users experience on a regular basis:

Weight Loss
The high temperature that is attained in a wet sauna causes your heart rate to accelerate and your metabolism to increase. This aerobic effect speeds your calorie burn and causes you to lose weight in the process. Some studies claim that twenty to thirty minutes in a sauna burns as many calories as sixty minutes of moderate exercise. While actual weight loss will vary between different people, sauna use will definitely help you burn more calories.

Arthritic Relief
Since the entire sauna room gets hot, your whole body is immersed in a therapeutic, hot environment. The hot air is very soothing on sore joints and muscles, and people suffering from arthritis experience pain relief when using a sauna on a regular basis.

Toxin Release
Your body sweats to cool itself and to release harmful toxins through perspiration. By taking a sauna you trigger this healthy process by causing your body to sweat significantly and flush impurities through your expanded pores.

Enhanced Immune System
As you sit in the hot sauna room your body temperature elevates, simulating an artificial fever that increases white blood cell production. Many sauna users report reduced incidents of colds and flu as a result of an immune system that is strengthened through sauna use.

Endorphin Release
The aerobic effects of a sauna session lead to the same post-workout effects of strenuous exercise. The combination of an accelerated heart rate along with the increase in body temperature leads to a release of endorphins, causing you to feel relaxed and refreshed as your body cools down. Many sauna users also claim that the use of the sauna helps them to sleep better at night and overcome the effects of insomnia.

Improved Circulation
As the body temperature increases, the blood vessels expand, allowing blood to flow more freely through the body. The increased blood flow improves overall circulation in your body and leaves your skin with a healthy glow. Regular sauna use causes some people to have that "just tanned" look throughout the year.

Skin Tone
In addition to bringing color to your skin, regular wet sauna use can help clear complexion and soften the skin. The improved circulation and extensive perspiration leaves the skin soft and moist, leaving a more youthful appearance.

Respiratory Effects
The steam that is generated when pouring water on the hot rocks can help treat respiratory problems. Chest congestion, bronchitis, and plugged sinuses can all be relieved when breathing in the hot, moist air that is generated in the wet sauna.

Relaxation
Most people report stress reduction after using a sauna as well as feeling more relaxed and refreshed. Taking a cold shower or plunging in cold water following a sauna is both invigorating and refreshing, leading to a more enjoyable and relaxed lifestyle. Whether you experience some or all of the benefits of wet sauna use, you will experience a lifestyle enhancement that will help you feel better!
